Nagpur, Feb 13 (UNI) Khairlanji Action Committee today demanded re-investigation into last year's Khairlanji dalit killings.

Chief Convenor of Khairlanji Action Committee Milind Pakhale told mediapersons the news of CBI applying for discharge of 35 accused in the case has come as a blow for those who trusted Maharashtra Government, CID and CBI for proper investigation into the case.

''While the demands like Narco Analysis Test of all the accused, appointment of special Government Pleader etc are yet unfulfilled, the application filed by investigating agency to discharge 35 accused has eroded our faith in the system,'' Mr Pakhale said.

Mr Pakhale said the case needed re-investigation as was done in Nitish Katara, Priyadarshini Mattoo and Jessica Lall murder cases and the Best Bakery case.

In September, 2006, four members of a dalit family were killed by the villagers at Khairlanji in Bhandara district of Vidarbha region of Maharashtra. The deceased members of Bhotmange family were identified as Surekha, her daughter Priyanka, sons Sudhir and Roshan.
