A person killed in an accident near National games venue

Guwahati, Feb 13 (UNI) A person was killed in an accident today in front of the Sarusajai stadium, venue of the ongoing 33rd National Games.

The accident took place at around 1215 hours when the motorcycle, coming from the Jalukbari side, was hit by a bus from behind.

The deceased, Taleb Ali of Hajo, died on the spot, whereas, a girl travelling with him escaped the accident unhurt.

The bus managed to escape in the chaos created following the accident.

The misfortune seems to have been following the Games as 13 rowers of the services team met with a major accident on Sunday.

Three of them are still battling for life in a hospital, sources said.
