4 youth arrested for abducting girl

Kolhapur, Feb 13 (UNI) Four youth were today arrested for allegedly abducting a school-going girl and later beating up her parents.

Police said the girl was picked up by the four, after threatening her at knife point, while she was on her way to the school. The youth were astride motorcycles, police said.

However, the girl was dropped back near her school later in the evening and no harm was caused to her.

The girl narrated the story to her parents and took them to the place where she had been carried. Upon identifying the youth, the parents sought an explanation from the four for their behaviour.

However, they were beaten up by the quartet instead. The parents lodged a complaint with the police following which the four were arrested.
