2 policemen killed in UP road mishap

Lakhimpur Kheri, Feb 13 (UNI) Two police personnel were killed and another was grievously injured after the speedy jeep, in which they were travelling, collided head-on with a truck in this district of Uttar Pradesh.

Police today said the jeep on way to Bahraich met with an accident on Bahraich-Lakhimpur Kheri highway under Esanagar police station area, killing two constables on the spot late last night.

The injured station officer was rushed to hospital in critical condition.

The truck driver has been arrested.
