Prices of select varities of cotton rise on fresh demand
Mumbai, Feb 12 (UNI) Select cotton prices rose on fresh demand, traders at the Cotton Association here today said.
Bengal Desi, MCU-5 and DCH-32 went up by Rs 100 each per candy on higher advice. V-797 and Punjab J-34 also shot up by Rs 400 and Rs 300 per candy due to better buying support.
Following are the spot cotton rates per candy in rupees: Bengal Desi: Rs 13,800, V-797: Rs 13,800, Karnataka Jayadhar: Rs 14,100, Y-1: Rs 16,200, Punjab J-34: Rs 16,300 (new), NHH-44: Rs 16,200, LRA: Rs 17,000, H-4: Rs 17,600, S-6-A grade: Rs 18,200, Bunny/Brahma: Rs 18,700, MCU-5: Rs 21,000, DCH-32: Rs 33,100, 26-MM: Rs 16,600 (new).
