No court will hear Nadeem's plea unless he comes to India: HC

Mumbai, Feb 12 (UNI) No court will entertain Music Director Nadeem Saifee's plea unless he comes to India, the Bombay High Court today said.

The Division bench comprising Justice Ranjana Desai and Justice Anup Mohta, made the observation, while hearing a plea filed by Nadeem's counsel Majeed Memon requesting that red-corner notices and non-bailable warrants issued against Nadeem be cancelled.

The court adjourned the matter till February 20 as his counsel Ashok Mundergi was not present.

The plea to extradite Nadeem was turned down by UK courts and the government had to pay a damage of about Rs five crore to him.
