Shillong, Feb 12 (UNI) Meghalaya police are still searching for the two school children, who went missing six months back, in the state.

''We are not sitting tight and our men are still working round the clock to trace these two children,'' Shillong Superintendent of Police H Kharkrang told UNI here today.

On August 2, last year, four-year-old Sachit Goel and his cousin Harsha Goel, were kidnapped for a ransom of Rs 10 lakh for their safe return.

At least, 15 people have so far been arrested, including one Rudal Shah alias Amar Behari, the kingpin Police seized a ransom note from his possession.

Mr Kharkrang said the state police had even sent its investigators to Nepal and other states in the country to trace the two school children.

''We have arrested some of them from Manipur and our main aim is to rescue the children,'' he said.

However, when asked whether the children are still alive, Mr Kharkrang refused to state anything, adding that operations were on to rescue the two children.

On the other end, the family members are prepared to reward anyone who could inform them about the whereabouts of the two children. The kidnappers have, however, not contacted the children's family members yet.

''We are ready to pay even to kidnappers, as we want our dear ones to be with us,'' said Vijay Goel, father of Sachit Goel.

The Border Security Force had even sought help of the Bangladesh Rifles to trace the two children in that Country.
