Film fest to draw people of India-Pak closer

Jaipur, Feb 12 (UNI) An international film festival is attempting to bridge the yawning gap between the people of India and Pakistan.

The three-day International Short Film Festival on Culture, which started yesterday showcasing a Pakistani film titled ''Taller than the Mountain,'' directed by Dr Farooq Beg, aims at providing a platform through which people can understand each other better.

Visting India for the first time, the director and his producer-cum-wife Huma Mustafa Beg said the cultures of both the neighbours were almost same and films and documentaries helped to explore India.

Of the 250 entries from 33 different countries like Iran, Bulgaria, Russia, Uzbekistan, Saudi Arabia etc, 117 of them have been selected for screening.
