Mumbai, Feb 12 (UNI) Cyclonic Circulation over Rajasthan combined with disturbances in the Northern part of the country has led to the early morning showers in parts of Mumbai, Director of Met Centre, Sathi Devi here today said.

Speaking to UNI, Devi said the Cyclonic Circulation over Rajasthan created strong winds containing moisture, which brought the sudden showers in parts of the city.

She said the strong cold waves in the northern part of the country changed the Cyclonic Circulation in the Western part creating a cloudy atmosphere.

Dismissing it as a normal weather behaviour, Devi said such sporadic showers created by cyclonic changes occassionally crosses the North to the south, while rains are a normal occurrence in the North during winters.

Earlier, on Monday morning light showers in different parts of the city and suburbs brought down the temperatures by about four degree celcius.

The Met Centre recorded 0.2 mm of rainfall at Colaba in South Mumbai and 0.1 mm rainfall was recorded at Santacruz in the Western suburbs till 0830 hrs today.

The rains brought down the temperatures considerably to 24.2 degree celcius at 1130 hrs as against 28.2 degree celcius at the same hour yesterday.
