CISF Director General tells personnel to gear up

Hyderabad, Feb 12 (UNI) Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) Director General S I S Ahmed today called upon personnel of the forces to gear up for challenges posed by global terrorism.

Addressing cadets of the eighth batch of Sub-Inspectors at the National Industrial Security Academy (NISA) here, he said the government had entrusted the forces with the responsibility of providing security and safety to vital installations, which were on the hit list.

He urged personnel to discharge their duties in the true spirit and be prepared to sacrifice anything for the cause of the nation.

Academy Director Anurag Sharma said efforts were afoot to establish a School of Aviation Security and a National Emergency Response Institute at the Academy.

He said a core group of personnel had been trained by BARC, Mumbai and DRDE, Gwalior to handle nuclear, biological and chemical disasters.

Earlier, Mr Ahmed, reviewed the passing out parade of the cadets.

SI Nalin Kumar of the batch was given the all round best trophy.

CISF personnel gave a demonstration of skills on post-protection, rope climbing, blind fold weapons handling and refex shooting.
