AP house witnesses a splash of colours

Hyderabad, Feb 12 (UNI) The Andhra Pradesh Assembly today witnessed a colourful beginning of the budget session with members of various parties attired in their best and identifying themselves with colours associated with their parties.

Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy, wearing a neatly-pressed cotton shirt and sparkling traditional white dhoti led the Congressmen into the House.

Dr Reddy, as also other ruling party members, were the cynosure of all eyes as they all wore shawls depicting the party's tricolour round their necks.

Leader of the Opposition N Chandrababu Naidu and other Telugu Desam Party members came in auspicious yellow-coloured dresses, while Dr G Vijayarama Rao and other Telangana Rashtra Samiti members wore pink dresses.

Members of the two major Left parties came in raging red, while BJP Floor leader G Kishan Reddy was dressed up in a saffron-coloured Kurta to exhibit his loyalty to his party.

All India Majlis-E-Itihadul Islameen(AIMIM) floor leader Akbaruddin Owaisi as also other AIMIM members donned in black dresses.

Earlier, bonhomie prevailed at the customary breakfast meeting hosted by Speaker K R Suresh Reddy for members of various parties.

With folded hands, the Speaker welcomed Dr Reddy and Mr Naidu for the meeting. The TDP leader flanked by Chief Minister and Legislative Affairs Minister K Rosaiah, exchanged pleasantries.

Dr Reddy, who tasted the traditional 'Rava Dosa' and had a cup of tea, was engaged in a lively conversation with CPI(M) Floor leader N Narasimaiah.
