Sonal Mansingh criticies politicians over Women's Bill

Una, Feb 11 (UNI) Indian Classical dance exponent Sonal Mansingh today blamed political parties for dragging their feet over the Women Reservation Bill in the Parliament.

Speaking on the occasion of the 32nd Annual function of Himotkarsh Parishad here, she said all political parties were to be blamed for not passing the Women Reservation Bill in the Parliament.

Ms Sonal said despite excelling in various fields, the social status of the women had not improved over the ages. ђEconomic empowerment of the women was a must, to ensure their social uplift.Ғ She strongly advocated a check on female foeticide, saying that in some places in the country, the sex ratio had seen a sharp decline in the last few years.
