Liquor vends sealed in Punjab as campaign ends

Bathinda, Feb 11 (UNI) The Excise Taxation department today sealed all liquor vends in the district after election campaign ended in Punjab for the February 13 assembly polls.

The Department teams went around the district to seal the vends on the direction of the District Electoral Officer. This is for the first time that the Excise department has put its seals on the liquor vends during elections.

In all previous assembly and Parliamentary polls, vends in the state were directed to shut down after the close of the campaign, but seals were never put on the vends.
