Italian PM visits ISRO facilities in Bangalore

Bangalore, Feb 11 (UNI) Italian Prime Minsiter Romano Prodi today visited the facilities of the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) here and evinced keen interest in the Indian space programme.

Mr Prodi who was accompanied by his senior ministers and officials visited the ISRO Satellite Integration and Test Establishment and was impresssed by the new facilities established by the Space organisation.

He was briefed on the Indian Space programme by ISRO Chairman G Madhavan Nair and ISRO Satellite Centre Director K N Shankara.

He went around the state-of-the-art facilities at the new campus of ISAC, ISRO said in a release here.
