Goa Gov Jamir conferred Doctorate of Divinity

Shillong, Feb 11: Goa Governor Sanayangba Chubatoshi Jamir was conferred the Doctorate of Divinity by the Senate of Serampore College at its annual convocation here yesterday.

Mr Jamir was conferred the doctorate in recognition of his service towards the church in particular and society in general.

The other recipients of the Doctorate of Divinity for this year included Rev Joseph Mar Irenaeus and Dr Ah Jae Woong.

Altogether 1141 students representing various theological colleges within the country and abroad, and affiliated to the Senate of Serampore College, were conferred various degrees on the occasion.
