First round of pulse polio campaign over in HP

Shimla, Feb 11 (UNI) Over 7.60 lakh children up to the age of five years were administered polio drops during the second phase of the campaign across Himachal Pradesh today, an official spokesman said.

Over 24,500 people in 5,855 stationary booths, 69 transit and 91 mobile booths administered pulse polio to 7,60,782 children in various parts of the state.

The spokesman said the first phase of the campaign was held on January seven last year.

A large number of people came to the polio booths since morning to administer drops to their children despite the cold weather.
