Kalam presents Bharti Airtel the QCI award

New Delhi, Feb 11: President A P J Abdul Kalam has conferred Quality Council of India (QCI) award on Bharti Airtel for taking initiatives towards enhancing economics of quality.

The award, QCI-D L Shah National Award, was presented to the Enterprise Services (Carriers) business unit of Bharti Airtel during the 2nd National Quality Conclave held here last Friday.

''It has been our constant endeavour to align all processes and practices to facilitate customer delight. We are happy that our efforts to continuously improve our processes have been recognised through the prestigious QCI award,'' said Mr David Nishball, Joint President Enterprise Services, Bharti Airtel.

Constituted by QCI, a government of India body, the award is presented to one company each in the public, private and small and medium enterprises (SME) segment. This year 50 companies were nominated for the award.
