Young doctor found raped, murdered in Buldhana

Nagpur, Feb 10 (UNI) A 23-year-old doctor was found raped and murdered at village Gotmar of Motala taluka in Buldhana district of Vidarbha region of Maharashtra today.

Buldhana Superintendent of Police Nikhil Gupta said Dr Varsha Motisingh Dhoni (Naik), a resident of village Kurha, was found dead at around 1000 hrs today.

An ayurvedic practitioner, Dr Dhoni was missing since February 9, Mr Gupta said.

Her body was found near Gotmar village. The post-mortem report revealed that she was raped and later murdered.

Based on the complaint of Varsha's father Motisingh Dhoni and the post-mortem report, the Dhamangaon Police has registered offences for rape and murder and a search for the unidentified murderer is on, Mr Gupta said.
