Three persons trapped in Sandhi colliery subsidence
Durgapur, Feb 10 (UNI) At least three miners are reportedly trapped inside the Sandhi colliery near here, following a subsidence this evening, according to informd sources.
This was the second such incident in 25 days.
The previous incident was a coal mine explosion that occurred on January 16 leaving cracks along a 700-metre stretch of National Highway 2 in Asansol, for which the army's assistance was required to construct a new road to divert the traffic from the highway.
There were, however, no casualties.
