Legislature presents example of work culture: Azad

Jammu, Feb 10 (UNI) Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad today said extensive and 'tireless participation of MLAs in the legislature is an example of the new work culture set in place over the last one year'.

He said the 'hardworking and active participation in hectic sessions by MLAs speaks very high of their the work culture and keenness to uphold the responsibility' people have entrusted them.

Mr Azad said constitution of committee system in conducting legislative business as proposed by Leader of Opposition A R Rather would be considered.

''As union parliamentary affairs minister I introduced the system in Parliament which is presently in vogue. The heated discussions are the signs of democracy and legislators have nothing personal against each other,'' he said.

Lauding the Speaker and Deputy Speaker, Mr Azad described them as real heroes as they conducted the Assembly in a highly democratic and impartial manner.
