Kalam presents GAIL 'Quality Excellence Award'

New Delhi, Feb 10: For high standards of quality control initiatives, GAIL India Ltd has bagged 'Quality Excellence Award, 2007' presented by President APJ Abdul Kalam.

On behalf of the company, Mr M R Hingnikar, Director (HR), received the award yesterday, a company statement said.

GAIL is the only company in the oil and gas sector where all the zonal, plant and finance heads have become siz sigma black belts and their actions and initiatives have saved Rs 40 crore till date.

The award is given by the Quality Council of India.
