JD(S) to attend Socialist International meet in Kathmandu
New Delhi, Feb 10 (UNI) Janata Dal (Secular) Secretary General Danish Ali today left for Kathmandu to attend a day-long meeting of Socialist International hosted by the Nepali Congress Party.
Mr Ali, who deputised for JD(S) President H D Deve Gowda, said he is carrying the message from his party chief offering all possible help and assistance to Nepali Congress Party which had undertaken the task of rebuilding the trouble-torn nation under a new Constitution.
The JD(S) is the only Indian political party recognised as a member party of the Socialist International group, which has various socialist parties in Europe, Asia, Latin America.
