Japanese to be centre of attraction at 3rd VHP conference

Allahabad, Feb 10 (UNI) Japanese would enthral people by their lotus dance at the 3rd Vishwa Hindu Praishad conference on 'Where there is dharma, there is victory', starting here tomorrow on the sandy beds of the river Ganga.

On February 13, the Japanese delegates will take out a procession from their camps till Triveni Sangam and take a spiritual dip in the Ganga.

Later, they will be the centre of attraction at the three- day VHP conference, where they will perform lotus dance, Ms Anjali Pandaya who is looking after the work of foreign delegates said.

The preparations for the conference have already been completed in the Ardh Kumbh Mela area. Over 50,000 delegates, including non resident indians (NRI) from several countries have already arrived in the mela area, while the VHP is expecting the participation of over three lakh people.

The parishad has invited all branches of the sanatan dharma, including Hindus, Baudhs, Sikhs and Jains. Besides, prominent saints like yog guru Ramdev, the Art of Living founder Sri Sri Ravi Shankar, Jagatguru Shankaracharya Swami Basudevanand, Swami Jayendra Saraswati and others.

Almost 60 'upnagars' (sub cities), in the name of prominent personalities, have been set up at the Shriguruji Mahanagar, which is spread in about 3,500 acres on the bauks of Ganga. Every 'upnagar' has been established in four acres of land where 4,000 people can stay.

VHP has arranged special buses from the various railway and bus stations to carry delegates to the venue.

Meanwhile, a high alert has been sounded in Shriguruji Mahanagar.

SSP B D Poulson at a meeting with the senior police officers and VHP leaders reviewed the security arrangements yesterday.

Around 10,000 jawans of the para military, PAC and police have been pressed into round the clock service. Besides, a large number of bomb disposal squads and anti sabotage teams have been deployed.

VHP general secretary Ashok Singhal alongwith Dr Praveen Bhai Togadia and other parishad leaders have already arrived at the venue and are supervising the preparations.

The delegates would discuss about the internal and external security of the country, construction of a grand Ram temple at Ayodhya, establishment of a Hindu rashtra, cow slaughter, infiltration of Bangladeshi nationals and expanding activities of the Maoists.

The VHP would host special sessions of all the delegates to deliberate on several topics, including importance of the Hindu culture, Hindu Human Rights and raising communal awareness for Hindu identity.
