Govt asks to maintain uninterrupted water supply

Agartala, Feb 10: The Tripura Government has instructed all the concerned authorities in the state to make necessary efforts to maintain uninterrupted supply of drinking water in view of the coming summers.

State Rural Development Minister Jitendra Chowdhury said this at a review meeting on the activities of Rural Development schemes here yesterday.

Mr Chowdhury also asked the concerned authorities to prepare a map in advance, to prevent shortage of drinking water in various parts of the rural areas during the dry seasons.

He also stressed on the importance for maintaining water resources in rural areas of the state.
