Governor releases book on linguistic diversity of India
Jammu, Feb 10 (UNI) Jammu and Kashmir Governor Lt. General (Retd) S K Sinha today highlighted the linguistic diversity of India, saying that the three-language formula of the first Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru is ideally suited for the country.
Releasing 'Manas Manthan' a work by poetess Shashi Padha at K L Saigal auditorium here, the Governor said the three language formula envisaged promotion of regional languages along with hindi and english.
''We have to communicate with the world in English and to benefit from knowledge explosion through this language,'' Lt Gen Sinha said, adding that due to rich human resource and art of adaptability, India had made its presence felt in the world and was emerging as a global economic power.
