Emirates flight made emergency landing for a sick passenger
Kolkata, Feb 10 (UNI) An Emirates airliner on a flight from Dubai to Shanghai via Singapore made an unscheduled landing at the city airport this monring following a medical emergency.
An Airports Authority of India (AAI) offical said this evening that a 38-year-old passenger of Singapore complained of chest pain when the aircraft was flying over Kolkata. After the airplane's landing here at 0950 hours, an AAI doctor immediately rushed to the aircraft examined him on board.
The doctor after administering life saving drugs, prescribed him not to fly again. The sick passenger was immediately removed to a local private hospital.
