Bank official shot dead

Ballia, Feb 10 (UNI) In a broad day light murder, unidentified armed miscreants shot dead a bank official here today.

Shailendra Chaubey (45) -- an employee of the District Cooperative Bank, was shot at when he was standing near 'Sadar' Kotwali police station area, Superintendent of Police Akramul Haq said.

The brutally wounded was rushed to hospital, where he was declared brought dead.

A search to trace the accused was on.
