MP: 2 villagers shot dead by naxalites

Jagdalpur, Feb 10: Two villagers were shot dead by naxalites at Nerli village under Chirmur police station area of Chhattisgarh's Dantewara district yesterday.

Police sources said the naxalites laid a seige around the village and killed two villagers, who were yet to be identified.

Police, which reached the village on a tip-off by few villagers, had a brief encounter with the naxalites, who later withdrew to the jungles in the night, police added.
