2 killed, 40 injured in road mishap

Bahraich, Feb 10 (UNI) Two people were killed and 40 others injured after a speeding private bus, in which they were travelling, overturned here today.

Police said the accident occurred in Kalepurva village under Ramgaon police station area, when the ill-fated bus, carrying 55 passengers, overturned after the diver lost control.

Two passengers died on the spot. The injured were rushed to hospital, where the condition of 15 was stated to be critical.

The deceased were identified as Malik Guddu (22) and Saleem (32).
