1500 kg explosives recovered in Gaya

Gaya, Feb 10 (UNI) Police today recovered 1500 Kg of explosives from Kushitanr forest area in the district.

District Police Superintendent Amit Kumar Jain said acting on a tip off, a joint team of Barachatti and Mohanpur police stations raided a hide-out in the forest area and recovered the explosives concealed by activists of the proscribed CPI (Maoists).

Special combing operation had been launched to flush out the naxalites from the district following the arrest of CPI(Maoist) leader Ajay Kanu on February 2, Mr Jain said.
