100 Vidarbha farmers commitsuicide in 40 days

Nagpur, Feb 10 (UNI) With nine more farmers committing suicide in the last 72 hours, Vidarbha farmers' suicide count has reached 100 this year.

According to Vidarbha Jan Andolan Samiti (VJAS), the organisation working for farmers in Vidarbha region of Maharashtra, nine more farmers ended life in the last three days.

According to VJAS, the deceased include; Sakharam Meshram, Gopinath Jamodkar and Bhumanna Dasar from Yavatmal district, Mahadev Wawage and Mahadev Bhagwat from Washim, Vijay Palkar and Kachru Vaidya from Buldana, Dhanraj Utane from Amravati and Haridas Patil from Nagpur district.

With this, the toll in the last 40 days has reached 100, claimed VJAS.
