10 yrs' RI for drug peddling

Ratlam, MP, Feb 10 (UNI) A special court has sentenced a woman for 10 years' rigorous imprisonment under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act and fined him Rs one lakh.

According to prosecution, Bano B (55), who hails from Uttar Pradesh's Bareilly and was residing from Madhya Pradesh from past few years, was caught with 1.5 kg opium at Jawra town in Ratlam on October 2, 2002.

Special Judge Abhay Kumar delivered the verdict yesterday.
