SS district chief nabbed
Sehore, MP, Feb 9 (UNI) A Shiv Sena district president and nine party workers were arrested and jailed today after they attempted to create pandemonium at a police station for releasing an accused, the police said.
The case of abduction of a young woman was registered at the Sehore (Rural) Police Station and a few youths were summoned for questioning yesterday. One them claimed to be a Shiv Sainik.
Late in the night, party's district chief Chandu Singh Mewada and his supporters went to the police station and misbehaved with the head constable.
At that juncture, the station house officer reached the place and arrested them on charges of preventing a government servant from performing his duty. The accused were presented in court and a remand order was issued.
