Six CRPF personnel killed in encounter in Manipur

Imphal, Feb 9 (UNI) About six CRPF jawans were killed in an ambush by the United National Liberation Front (UNLF) militants at Chassad in Ukhrul district today.

Chief Electoral Officer R R Rashmi said detailed information is awaited.

Meanwhile, the UNLF has claimed responsibility for the attack.

The militants fired at the jawans when they were coming back to Imphal from their election duty in Ukhrul district, where the election was held yesterday.
