Rural bank employees to go on indefinite strike from February 1
Patna , Feb 9(UNI) Bihar provincial rural bank employees association has called an indefinite strike from February 22 in support of their charter of demands.
Their demands included improvement in their service conditions besides withdrawal of the repressive measures being adopted by the management.
In a release issued here today, general secretary of the association Arvind Kumar Sinha said the decision had been taken to protest the anti-employees policies adpoted by the management.
He said the management had issued dismissal notices to the employees who had earlier observed one day token strike on January 22 in support of their demands.'' The repeated threats of dismissals to the employees had triggered widespread resentments among them and they had been forced to go on indefinite strike to protest the bullying tactics of the management,'' he added.
