Recaero Group opens first facility in Bangalore

Bangalore, Feb 9 (UNI) The France-based Recaero Group, a premier manufacturer of aeronautical spare parts, today unveiled its new facility at Bidadi here, its first fully owned premises in India.

The facility would supply parts to global aeronautical giants like Airbus, ATR and Snecma. This new factory established Recaero India as the first private sector company to make parts for aircraft in India, a company statement here said.

Based on the design of its parent company Recaero France's facility, this factory provided a working space of 10,000 sqft.

With the opening of its factory in Bidadi, Recaero India would be scaling up its current workforce of 20 employees to 150.

Speaking on the occasion, Recaero India Chairman Vinay Jha said, ''the past year has seen significant development in the aero manufacturing industry in India. We are excited to launch our new facility as it marks an important milestone in Recaero Group's commitment to supply quality parts to cater to the rapidly rising needs of our customers.'' Encouraged by this steady increase in demand, we hope to double our operations by the end of 2008,'' he added.

Recaero Group Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Thierry Pobeau said ''with India emerging as a strategic market for the leading aeronautical firms, it was logical for Recaero Group to position itself in the Indian market.

''This is complemented by the availability of a highly skilled workforce having deep product knowledge. Through this facility, we aim to further optimise our development capabilities, while reiterating our dedication to our customers and to the progress of the industry in India as a whole,'' he further added.

Recaero India was launched in March 2005 as the first Indian subsidiary of the Recaero Group to manufacture and source parts for major aircraft manufacturers.
