Tirupati, Feb 9 (UNI) Political parties barring Congress today demanded Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y S Rajashekara Reddy to revoke the transfer orders of Chittoor District Superintendent of Police Charu Sinha.

The party leaders submitted a memorandum to Dr Reddy, who was in the city to participate in various programmes, condemning the transfer of SP, alleging that Ms Sinha, who had not even completed 90 days in office was transfered to Mahaboobnagar unceremoniously.

They said they would intensify their agitation, if the transfer order of Ms Sinha was not revoked. Political interference in the administration was the root cause of her transfer, they alleged.

It may be recalled that six MLAs of the Congress party had taken cudgels against the SP, alleging resentment over her unilateral functioning, vis-a--vis deployment of gunmen to assist the legislators.

While a gunman of MLA P Ramachandra Reddy was withdrawn for his objectionable role during the recent local body polls in Chitoor District, five more MLAs had raised a banner of revolt and wanted to retain the gunmen of their choice.
