Meghalaya Home Min urges MMSA, govt to bridge communication gap

Shillong, Feb 9 (UNI) Meghalaya's Home Minister R G Lynhdoh today stressed the need to bridge the communication gap between the Meghalaya Medical Service Association(MMSA) and state government at all levels so that demands of the people could be sorted out.

Inaugurating a two-day scientific-conference-cum general body meeting of MMSA here, Mr Lyngdoh admitted that the medical department faced many problems and appealed to the MMSA to work together with the government at all levels for maximum benefit of the people, especially the rural masses.

He said the real medical problem are in the rural areas and urged the department to see that the rural people must not face any problems when they were in need of it and take things with a missionary zeal.

Mr Lyngdoh also released a Souvinor and declared open the session.

Urban Affairs Minister Paul Lyngdoh, who also spoke on the occasion, assured the medical fraternity to offer all possible help.

He expressed hope that during the two-day session many fruitful discussions would come up for the betterment of the people of the state, especially poor.
