Indo-Pak Border meet in Jalandhar from Feb 14

Jalandhar, Feb 9 (UNI) The bi-annual meeting of officials of the Border Security Force(BSF) and the Pakistan Rangers will held at the BSF frontier head quarters here between February 14 and 17.

The four day meet, the highest level meeting of officials of the two border guarding forces aiming at better coordination and understanding will discuss various vital issues relating to border patrolling problems, status of pending cases against Indian and/or Pakistani prisoners languishing in jails in both the countries, infiltration, smuggling and other transborder crimes, an BSF spokesman said here today.

The visiting Pakistani team of officers would be headed by Maj Gen Javed Zia, Director General Pak Rangers Sindh and would include deputy director general Pakistan Rangers and officers of Pakistan Survey department and anti narcotic agencies.
