Govt should take quick steps to prevent corruption: VC

Tirupati, Feb 9(UNI) Andhra Pradesh Vigilance Commissioner(VC) R C Samal today said speedy measures were needed to prevent corruption in the country.

Addressing an awarness programme on corruption, he said Europe, Singapore and USA could reap fruitful results after the involvement of public in preventing the corruption indulged in by officials.

The former state assembly speaker Agarala Eswara Reddy said an Act should be enacted to punish the wrong-doers in a phased manner and within the time-bound programme.
