Girl students create ruckus-in Aligarh
Aligarh, Feb 9 (UNI) Agitated over alleged Harassment of a girl at the hands of Tikaram Girls College principal, the students today created a ruckus on the campus and blocked the road demanding her suspension.
According to police, a BA (II year) student was accused of theft by another girl student. The accused girl confessed to it and apologised for the same yesterday.
However, principal Manju Saraswat hung posters on her with 'Main Chor hoon' (I am a thief) written on it. Later, she was taken around on campus.
Protesting the incident, college students blocked the Rajghat road demanding the principal's suspension. They also vandalised some flower pots in the campus.
Police reached the spot and pacified the girls.
Meanwhile, the college management has recommended the suspension of the principal and sent a letter in this regard to the Agra University vice-chancellor.
