Gehlot alleges paralysed govt responsible for Rishabdev violence
Jaipur, Feb 9 (UNI) Former chief minister of Rajasthan Ashok Gehlot alleged the 'paralysed' state government was responsible for the unfortunate incident of communal violence and loss of life at Rishabdev in Udaipur district.
Mr Gehlot, while expressing sorrow over the death of a tribal in police firing and loss to property, blamed the state government. He said ''the court judgment came on January 4 and the governemnt did nothing to clear the confusion arising out of the court order''.
He said the boycott of six ministers from the cabinet meeting held at Kota on January 24, the rumours of resignation of some ministers had paralysed the administration in the state.
Mr Gehlot alleged that while the political masters were busy in political manipulation and manouvering, the issues concerning people were put on the back burner in the last 17 days.
He demanded adequate compensation to the families of those killed and injured in police firing.
