Elephant flings man to death
Marthandam (Tamil Nadu), Feb 9 (UNI) An elephant, participating in a temple festival here, went berserk and flung a youth to death.
The victim, identified as Harikrishna, was on a motorcycl, when the caparisoned pachyderm, being brought in a procession along with other elephants lifted him with it's trunk and flung him on the ground.
Eye witnesses said the youth, while passing the road, belowed horns frequently, which might have irritated the animal.
After flinging the youth, it went berserk and pushed aside a Scorpio car, parked on the roadside before it was chained and brought under control.
