DuPont launches fluorine compounds for pharma, agri industries

Hyderabad, Feb 9 (UNI) DuPont Fluorointermediates today introduced new fluorine compound products for pharmaceutical, agricultural and other fine chemical applications.

According to a press release here, DuPont global market segment leader Kelly Kolliopoulos said ''we introduced exciting new advances in fluorine chemistry needed for healthier crops, more effective medicines and innovative high performer polymers.'' The new products launched were TFEDMA, a new fluorinating reagent, which was thermally stable at high temperatures and more fluorine efficient than other fluorialkyl amino regeants, and HFIBO hexafluoroisobutvlene oxide, which was a useful new building block for introducing a hydroxy-substituted hexafluoropropyl group into a variety of substrates.
