DPCC resolution thanks Sonia, UD Min Jaipal Reddy for MPD 2021

New Delhi, Feb 9 (UNI) Describing the 2021 Master Plan of Delhi as a ''historic step for the betterment of Delhiites'', the Delhi Pradesh Congress Committee (DPCC) today thanked Congress President and UPA Chairperson Sonia Gandhi, Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, Union Urban Development Minister Jaipal Reddy and Urban Development State Minister Ajay Maken for ensuring a timely notification of the Master Plan.

A resolution in this regard was passed at an extended Executive committee meeting of the DPCC here.

DPCC chief Rambabu Sharma tabled a resolution in this regard which was seconded by senior MP Sajjan Kumar and supported by MLA Anil Bhardwaj.

In the resolution, the Executive Committee expressed gratitude to Congress President and UPA Chairperson Sonia Gandhi for her guidance in bringing out the Master Plan.

''It was under her guidance and direction that the Congress-led Central Government has achieved the great task of regularising 1500 unauthorised colonies which will have a clear cut effect on the lives of more than 35 lakh citizens of Delhi,'' the resolution said.

The Committee also thanked the Prime Minister for his efforts in providing Delhiites with the Master Plan. It also lauded the efforts and pains taken by the Urban Development Ministry in providing relief to more than 95 per cent affected citizens of Delhi through the Master Plan.

Among those who attended the Executive Committee meeting were MP Sajjan Kumar, Delhi Government MLAs A K Walia and Dr Yoganand Shastri, AICC secretary Jai Kishan, MLAs Anil Bhardwaj, Vijay Singh Lochav, Surender Kumar, Surender Pal Singh Bittoo, Dr Bijender Singh, Shadi Ram, Malaram Gangwal, Barkha Singh, Ramesh Lamba, PCC office-bearers Shri Dheerender Tyagi, Alka Lamba, Suresh Malik, Sunil Vohra, J P Goel, J N Kashyap, Mirza Mohd Usman and Mannon Qureshi.
