DMK's brickbats prompt bouquets from advocates!

Chennai, Feb 9 (UNI) A day after the boycott of courts, advocates owing allegiance to the AIADMK today spread flowers on the corridors leading to the judges chambers, including the Chief Justice's chamber, to show their solidarity with the judiciary in the backdrop of the DMK's criticism of the judiciary and the judges.

Condemning the criticism by Chief Minister M Karunanidhi and Electricity Minister Arcot N Veerasamy against the judiciary and judges, the advocates had boycotted the courts on February 7. The advocates also burnt Mr Veerasamy's effigy inside the court complex.

Today, the advocates spread flowers on corridors leading to the judges chambers. After half an hour, the flowers were removed.

Meanwhile, advocates owing allegiance to the DMK gave a representation to the Registrar General seeking action against advocates owing allegiance to the AIADMK and MDMK for allegedly unleashing violence in the guise of a boycott and blocking the court's corridors with flowers.
