Arunachal constitutes core committee on Panchayat Mahila Shakti

Itanagar, Feb 09 (UNI) The Arunachal Pradesh government has constituted an 11-member state level core committee on Panchayat mahila shakti abhiyan with Arunachal Pradesh State Commission for Women (APSCW) chairman Jarjum Ete as its chairman.

The committee would prepare a state specific charter of demands for sustenance of women, informed Ms Ete.

It would also prepare and formulate an action plan related to empowerment of women and other gender issues, which would be dovetailed with the programme of National Commission for Women's (NCW) "Chalo gaon ki ore", she informed.

The committee would also highlight the important issues of elected women representatives of Panchayati Raj from time to time besides dealing with issues related to Women Component Plan in the state budget and ensuring linkages with self-help groups and training and capacity building of EWRs.
