Bangalore, Feb 9 (UNI) Ahead of the March ten (IST) launch from the European Spaceport of Kourou in French Guyana, Indian Communication satellite INSAT 4B is currently undergoing various final pre-launch tests and the latest to be carried out was the Antenna deployment tests.

INSAT 4B was equipped with two large transmit/receive antennae that would be used for the spacecraft's Ku-band and C-band telecommunications services.

The Ariane five carrying the Indian satellite was set for launch on March nine from French Guyana (local time). It would be orbited on a dual-payload flight that also was to carry the UK's Skynet 5A secure military relay platform.
