Airtel adds 330 sites in Bengal
Kolkata, Feb 09 (UNI) Airtel, India's one of the leading mobile service provider, has added 330 new cell sites to improve and upgrade its network for over 1.8 million customers in West Bengal.
The company's release here said the cites were open between October 2006 to January 2007 all over the major places of the state adding that the total number cell sites stand at 2000.
This has been done to increase network coverage in key building and locations here so as to provide smoother and faster connectivity to the customes acros the state.
These would also enable customers to not only experience enhanced voice calls but also witness faster data downloads for better mobile interactivity.
The network services had been revamped in several districts including Birbhum,Uttar Dinajpur,Darjeeling,Jalpaiguri,Coochbehar, Malda, Nadia and Murshidabad.
Besides, some new sites also were added in January covering some various busy areas of the city.
