Sriganganagar, Feb 8 (UNI) Two youths, indulging in suspicious activities, were caught in a border village near Rawla in Sriganganagar district.

Indian and Pakistani currency, a mobile phone, current tester and map of India were found in their possession. They were caught after the villagers informed the police yesterday.

On interrogation, the youths said they are brothers and reside in Kolkata. However, the officials say they may hail from Bangladesh or Pakistan and are suspected to be spies.

Aged around 25-30 years, they were found loitering in a suspicious manner in village Sakhi with bags on their shoulders.

On searching, Rs 1250 was found in Pakistani currency while Rs 1283 was found in Indian currency other than the mobile, India's statewise political map and a current tester.

On questioning, they gave their names as Raju Rahim, 25 and Deedar Rahim, 32, and said they resided on Durgapur Road in Kolkata.

The police said they wanted to go to Pakistan in search of work.

They will be further questioned at the Joint Enquiry Centre.
